Why a white background sells
When every photo in a store shares the same background, the catalog looks organized and shoppers compare products, not kitchens, desks or countertops. It is the format the big online stores use, and it looks right in your catalog on Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Google Shopping.
How to take the photo
- Daylight from the side. Near a window, no flash.
- The whole product, filling a good part of the frame.
- A background that contrasts. A white product against a white wall is the only thing that is hard to cut out.
- One photo per product. If several show up, the tool treats them as one.
