Mercedes is a founder with global ambition. Born in Buenos Aires, she turned her creative instinct into Estudio Cunaví: an online store of exclusive, African-inspired pieces, built to put the products customers want within easy reach.

Launching a digital storefront is no small thing. We built a brand worthy of the style and quality of her merchandise, and we put it to work.

The Challenge

Bringing two creative visions together

The brief was demanding: reconcile an interior designer's eye with our team's technical judgment, and deliver a project true to the client's vision, on schedule.

We set out to build a store of high-end pieces that channel the vitality of African culture — perfect for dressing any space or hotel. We paired contemporary sensibility with luxury product and built an exclusive destination for anyone who settles for nothing less than the best in their projects.

Where does the name come from?

The brand offers pieces that tell a story and elevate natural materials. Its promise to the customer is authentic craftsmanship, quality, and product made with intent.

Origin of the Cunavi name — C·U·N·A·V·I

Typeface selection

Mourich

To hold together everything the brand communicates, tangible and intangible, we settled on the MOURICH typeface in its Regular weight.

With a subtle variation on the letter a in the CUNAVI name, we set the logo's typeface apart from the one used for body text, headings, and paragraphs across web, social, stationery, and every other medium.

Color selection

Color is a decisive tool in communication. Beige brings warmth and organic energy to the palette: a neutral, delicate, and effective tone that gives the composition texture.

The palette allows for other derived tones, always with respect for the original color.

With the brand ready, we built a site that carried its African character into clear navigation. A fluid, minimalist interface, designed for every kind of user.

The goal was an effortless experience, without giving up any visual appeal.

With WooCommerce, WordPress becomes a full-fledged e-commerce platform. It builds on what's already there and lets a business of any size go far, without the complications.

On that foundation, the store sells its products on any device, connects with an international clientele, and grows quickly on one of the most proven commerce solutions on the market.

Development

WordPress

WordPress was the natural choice: unmatched versatility and a vast library of e-commerce extensions, with WooCommerce at the front. On that foundation we assembled the set of tools the project called for.

The goal was a seamless experience on any device or browser. After launch, our technical team was available around the clock for any issue, for a rollout without surprises.

WordPress offers enormous freedom when it comes to choosing an interface builder. We chose WP Bakery for its clean integration with search engines and for the first-class experience it makes possible.

On that foundation we built an online store true to the project's vision, and the client was delighted with the result.
